Ancient Lodge Minutes
The oldest Lodge records are located in Scotland. Lodge Aitcheson’s Haven minute books commence on 9th January 1599. The Lodge was removed from the roll of Lodges c.1854.
The oldest records of a Lodge which is still in existence are those of the Lodge of Edinburgh (Mary’s Chapel), No.1 and these begin on 31st July 1599 and record every meeting from then to the present day.
