German Masonic Lodges

Germany has no less than 5 Grand Lodges recognized by the United Grand Lodge of England. Together, they have formed a confederation known as the United Grand Lodges of Germany – Freimaurerei in Deutschland – www.freimaurer.org

The confederation represents German Freemasonry to foreign institutions (other Grand Lodges) and the German public. Yet, the member Grand Lodges are autonomous in their internal affairs and in the manner of teaching.

Belongs to the Christian orientation of Freemasonry with the Scandinavian Grand Lodges in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland. Works the Swedish Rite.

The Grand Lodge of British Freemasons in Germany
